At Brownhills West Primary School, we endeavour to educate, guide and inspire our pupils in a safe and supportive learning environment. Working in partnership with our school community, we aim to raise aspiration, equipping our pupils with the skills, confidence and thirst for learning that will enable them to make positive contributions to the changing world.
Brownhills West Primary School is a primary school for children aged between 3 and 11 years. We are located just off the A5 on a housing estate near to Chasewater. Our Nursery provision admits children from their 3rd birthday, up to a maximum of 26 children in each morning and afternoon session. Children transfer to Reception in the September after their 4th birthday.
Families considering joining our school are welcome to visit at any time where you shall be shown around and introduced to the way in which we make learning fun.We are keen for parents/carers and their child/children to view our school prior to admission. Please contact Mrs Wall or Mrs Slatcher in the school office to arrange a visit or discuss admission arrangements.
Each Friday afternoon we hold a praise assembly which aims to recognise the achievements of pupils both in and out of school. ‘In-school’ achievement awards include: ‘Star of the Week’ in recognition of academic progress in KS1 (Reception class to Year 2); 'Commendations' also in recognition of academic progress in KS2 (Year 3 to Year 6) and ‘Attendance Award’ for the class with the highest attendance figure that week. Parents are invited to join us for this assembly.
The staff at Brownhills West strive to make lessons enjoyable as we know children learn best when having fun! Our motto is 'Enjoy Achieve Succeed'.
We pride ourselves in being a very friendly school and work hard to ensure our families feel part of the school community.
